All About My Lampwork Creations

Each glass bead is created with Italian Moretti glass and lampworked individually by me in my home studio. I melt the
glass over a torch fueled with propane and oxygen onto a steel rod (mandrel). I then sculpt the glass and move it around while in the molten stage to achieve the shape I desire. I use no molds or paint ever! Once I am happy with my bead I pop it into my digitally controlled kiln for stregth and durability.

After a night in the kiln I remove the beads, clean and inspect thouroughly before selling or incorporating into jewelry.

Every bead I make is different, even when I try to duplicate one, it's never the same. My beads are truly unique and I'm always trying new things with the glass.

I accept custom requests! My specialty is dogs. I make them based on a personal photo and try to capture any unique qualities your dog has. I have made cats, dogs, birds, owls, clowns, you name it...I've tried it! Anything you see pictured here can be requested and I am willing to try just about anything once. My main goal with BeadUnique is to create items that you enjoy wearing and have a special meaning.
